No. 23 Arkansas Men’s Basketball Team Dominates Oakland with 92-62 Win

The Arkansas Razorbacks, ranked No. 23 in the nation, delivered a commanding performance with a 92-62 victory over the Oakland Golden Grizzlies in their final non-conference game of the season. The matchup, held at Bud Walton Arena, highlighted the Razorbacks’ offensive depth and defensive resilience, as they extended their winning streak to six games.

Arkansas set the tone early, building a double-digit lead midway through the first half, powered by a balanced scoring attack. Guard Davonte Davis shone brightly, leading the team with 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Forward Trevon Brazile contributed 15 points, including two emphatic dunks that energized the crowd, while freshman Baye Fall added 12 points and eight rebounds off the bench.

The Razorbacks showcased excellent shooting efficiency, hitting 55% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc. Defensively, they limited Oakland to just 38% shooting and forced 17 turnovers, converting many of those into fast-break points. The team’s ability to dominate on both ends of the floor was evident, as they controlled the pace and out-rebounded their opponents 42-28.

Oakland’s leading scorer, Keaton Hervey, managed 16 points, but the Golden Grizzlies struggled to keep up with Arkansas’ relentless tempo. Despite flashes of solid play, Oakland could not close the gap, with Arkansas maintaining a 20-point lead for much of the second half.

With this win, Arkansas improves to 11-2 on the season and heads into SEC play with significant momentum. They face their toughest challenge yet in their conference opener against top-ranked Tennessee. Head coach Eric Musselman praised his team’s focus and execution, emphasizing the importance of maintaining intensity as they enter the highly competitive SEC schedule.

The Razorbacks’ performance cements their status as a formidable contender in college basketball this season.
