Ament’s decision comes after a series of high-profile visits, including an official trip to Kentucky on February 11th, where he witnessed the Wildcats’ thrilling 85-81 victory over Tennessee at Rupp Arena. The visit left a lasting impression, with Ament noting the program’s appealing system and head coach Mark Pope’s high-energy approach. “Coach Pope is such a high-character person. You feel his energy,” Ament remarked.
Coach Pope’s commitment to recruiting Ament was evident, as he attended Ament’s senior night on February 14th, underscoring Kentucky’s strong interest.
