Arkansas Razorbacks center Zvonimir Ivisic has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal for the second consecutive offseason, raising questions about his future in college basketball.
Ivisic, a 7-foot-2 big man from Croatia, originally committed to Kentucky in 2023 before transferring to Arkansas last season to follow head coach John Calipari. In his lone season with the Razorbacks, Ivisic averaged 8.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game, showcasing his ability as a rim protector and offensive threat.
Despite flashes of brilliance, Ivisic struggled with consistency, particularly in high-pressure SEC matchups. His playing time fluctuated throughout the season, and he found himself receiving limited minutes in key games toward the end of the year. While his defensive presence and shot-blocking ability were evident, questions about his physicality and ability to adapt to the pace of SEC play may have contributed to his decision to re-enter the portal.
Ivisic’s departure marks another significant change for the Razorbacks, who underwent a turbulent 2024-25 season. The team faced roster instability and underperformed in the SEC, leading to speculation about further roster shake-ups heading into the next campaign. With Calipari looking to rebuild and reshape the team, Ivisic’s exit opens the door for potential new recruits or transfers to fill the void in the frontcourt.
As one of the more skilled and mobile big men in the portal, Ivisic is expected to draw interest from multiple programs seeking a versatile center. His ability to stretch the floor and block shots makes him an intriguing prospect for teams in need of a frontcourt presence.
With Ivisic on the move again, the Razorbacks will have to adjust their offseason plans as they prepare for the 2025-26 season.
