North Carolina guard Seth Trimble has announced his decision to Commit to Kentucky wildcats basketball after…..

Trimble, a former 4-star recruit in the class of 2022, spent the past two seasons with the Tar Heels, where he earned a reputation as a tough, athletic defender and explosive finisher at the rim. After entering the transfer portal earlier this offseason in search of a larger role and fresh start, Trimble has chosen to take his talents to Lexington.

“I want to thank Coach Davis and the entire UNC family for believing in me and supporting me throughout my journey,” Trimble shared on social media. “With that said, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be continuing my basketball career at the University of Kentucky.”

The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 5.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game last season while playing key minutes off the bench for a North Carolina squad that reached the Sweet 16. While his offensive role was limited in Chapel Hill, Trimble’s defensive prowess and athleticism stood out—qualities that Kentucky’s coaching staff is eager to harness.

New Kentucky head coach Mark Pope, who recently took over following John Calipari’s departure, has been aggressive in reshaping the Wildcats’ roster. Trimble’s commitment adds veteran experience and defensive tenacity to a backcourt that is expected to feature a mix of returning talent and incoming transfers.
