FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — With Trevon Brazile Back, Razorbacks Bolster Frontcourt with Elite Athleticism, Rim Protection, and Veteran Presence
The Arkansas Razorbacks received a major boost this week as standout forward Trevon Brazile announced his return for the 2024-25 season. The 6-foot-10 junior, known for his explosive athleticism and shot-blocking prowess, will rejoin the Razorbacks for another campaign, solidifying a frontcourt that now boasts both experience and elite talent.
Brazile’s return comes after months of speculation about whether he would declare for the NBA Draft. Instead, the versatile forward chose to continue his development in Fayetteville, bringing with him a skill set that instantly elevates the team’s interior defense and rebounding presence.
Last season, Brazile averaged 9.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game, despite dealing with the lingering effects of a previous ACL injury. Now fully healthy and with a full offseason of preparation ahead, expectations are high for Brazile to take a significant leap as both a defensive anchor and offensive weapon.
Head coach John Calipari, entering his first season with the Razorbacks, praised Brazile’s decision, citing his maturity, leadership, and unique ability to change the game on both ends of the floor. “Trevon is a game-changer,” Calipari said. “His length, mobility, and rim protection are elite, and having a veteran like him sets the tone for our younger guys.”
Brazile joins a frontcourt that already includes key returning contributors and promising newcomers, setting the stage for a deep, athletic, and defensively formidable unit. With Brazile back in the fold, the Razorbacks are poised to make noise in the SEC and beyond, fueled by one of the most dynamic big men in college basketball.
Arkansas fans can now look forward to a frontcourt led by a seasoned star, as Brazile’s presence adds depth, balance, and a winning edge to the Razorbac
ks’ roster.
