Rufus Alexander Returns to Oklahoma Sooners as New National Offensive Director

 

Former Oklahoma Sooners football star, Rufus Alexander, is making his return to Norman in a new leadership role. The Oklahoma football program announced that Alexander, known for his standout career as a linebacker for the Sooners in the early 2000s, will rejoin the team as the new National Offensive Director.

 

Alexander, who played for the Sooners from 2002 to 2006, was a key defensive leader during a period of sustained success for the program under head coach Bob Stoops. A multi-year starter, he was known for his exceptional playmaking ability, leadership, and work ethic on the field. Alexander’s contributions were instrumental in helping the Sooners reach multiple BCS bowls and maintain their competitive edge in the Big 12 conference.
