The Indiana Hoosiers football program has secured two significant additions to its 2025 recruiting class. Head coach Tom Allen announced the verbal commitments of twin defensive ends Darryll and Mandrell Desir from Miami Norland High School, a powerhouse in Florida football.
The Desir brothers, known for their explosive athleticism and relentless pursuit on the field, have been standout performers at Miami Norland. Both are highly regarded for their ability to disrupt offenses, combining speed, strength, and technique to excel as edge rushers. Their commitment adds much-needed depth and talent to Indiana’s defensive line, a key focus for the program as it looks to strengthen its presence in the Big Ten.
Coach Allen has consistently emphasized the importance of building a competitive roster through recruitment, particularly in regions like Florida, known for producing elite talent. Securing the Desir twins is a testament to the program’s expanding recruiting reach and appeal. “Darryll and Mandrell are the kind of players we look for—talented, hardworking, and hungry to grow. We’re thrilled to have them join our family,” Allen said in a statement.
For the Desir twins, choosing Indiana was about more than football. They were impressed by the coaching staff’s vision and the program’s commitment to development on and off the field. “Indiana felt like home. We believe in Coach Allen and the direction he’s taking the team,” Darryll stated.
The twins’ commitment continues Indiana’s strong recruiting momentum as the program looks to compete with Big Ten heavyweights. With the Desir brothers in the fold, the future looks bright for Hoosier football. Their addition signals that Indiana is serious about elevating its program to new
