COLLEGE STATION − Over the years, the Texas and Texas A&M women’s basketball teams have been involved in Southwest Conference skirmishes and Big 12 battles. Now it’s time for an SEC showdown.
On Sunday evening, Texas A&M (10-10, 3-5) will host No. 7 Texas (21-2, 7-1) in the first conference clash between the two schools since the Aggies left the Big 12 in 2012. Twelve years later, Texas is tied for second place in the Southeastern Conference standings while Texas A&M is locked in a ninth-place tie.
No. 23 Vanderbilt and No. 2 South Carolina.
Now 22-2 with an 8-1 mark in SEC play, Texas will turn its attention to next week’s games against No. 23 Vanderbilt and No. 2 South Carolina.
Texas A&M (10-11, 3-6) was led by the 12 points scored by both Jada Malone and Janae Kent.

The daughter of a Texas football player, Shay Holle has made her mark as this in-state rivalry resumes. Holle has knocked down two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter as the Texas lead has ballooned to 22 points.
