BREAKING NEWS: Arkansas Razorbacks head Coach Sam Pittman Signs a 3 Years contract Extension will Arkansas Razorbacks…

Arkansas Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman has secured a new contract extension, affirming his commitment to the program through at least the 2026 season. The agreement, announced on June 2, 2022, includes a base salary of $5 million per year, with potential increases based on team performance.

Pittman’s contract is structured to reward success on the field. If the Razorbacks achieve seven or more wins in any season, including bowl games against Power Five or Top 25 teams, the contract automatically extends by one year. This performance-based incentive underscores the university’s confidence in Pittman’s leadership and the direction of the football program.

Since taking over as head coach in 2020, Pittman has led a notable turnaround for Arkansas football. After a 3-7 record in his inaugural season, the Razorbacks improved to 9-4 in 2021, marking their first nine-win season since 2011. The team secured victories against prominent opponents, including Texas, Texas A&M, and LSU, and concluded the season with a win over Penn State in the Outback Bowl.

Pittman’s leadership has not only translated into on-field success but has also revitalized the program’s culture and recruiting efforts. Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek praised Pittman, stating, “Coach Pittman and his staff have done a tremendous job quickly restoring the pride and belief in our football program.” He added, “I believe we’re just getting started.”

Expressing his dedication to the Razorbacks, Pittman remarked, “Arkansas is where I want to be; this is my dream job.” He continued, “I am so grateful for our university and Hunter for believing in me, our coaches and staff, and the program we’re building.”

This contract extension reflects the mutual commitment between Pittman and the University of Arkansas, aiming to build upon the recent successes and continue the upward trajectory of the football program.
