National Signing Day 2025: Blue-chip offensive lineman Chastan Brown signs with FSU

Florida State Seminoles football has added a major piece to its 2025 recruiting class with the official signing of Chastan Brown, a highly-rated offensive lineman from Warner Robbins, Georgia. Brown, a 6-foot-7, 270-pound standout, had been a top priority for the Seminoles’ coaching staff, and his commitment solidifies Florida State’s efforts to bolster its offensive line for the future.

Originally committed to UCF, Brown reopened his recruitment late in the process, drawing interest from multiple Power Five programs. However, after an official visit to Tallahassee, he ultimately chose the Seminoles over offers from Miami, Auburn, and South Carolina.

“Florida State felt like home,” Brown said during his signing ceremony. “The coaches believe in my potential, and I see myself thriving in their system.”

Brown’s size and athleticism make him an ideal fit for Florida State’s offensive scheme. With quick footwork, strong pass-blocking skills, and an aggressive mentality in the run game, he is expected to compete for early playing time. His addition comes at a crucial time for the Seminoles, who are looking to rebuild their offensive line depth after losing multiple starters to the NFL Draft and the transfer portal.

FSU offensive line coach Herb Hand played a pivotal role in Brown’s recruitment. “Chastan brings a great mix of physicality and intelligence to the position. He’s got the potential to be a dominant lineman in the ACC,” Hand said.

With Brown’s signing, Florida State’s #Tribe25 class continues to gain momentum as one of the top-ranked recruiting groups in the nation. His commitment highlights the program’s resurgence under head coach Mike Norvell, who has focused on bringing in elite talent to keep the Seminoles competitive at the highest level.
