The Arkansas Razorbacks have landed a major recruiting victory, securing commitments from twin brothers Mandrell and Darryll Desir, two highly rated defensive ends from Florida. The duo, known for their relentless motor and disruptive presence on the defensive line, announced their decision on Monday, choosing Arkansas over offers from multiple SEC programs, including LSU, Florida, and Auburn.
“We wanted to go somewhere that felt like home and a place where we could develop into the best players we can be,” Mandrell said in their joint announcement. “After visiting Arkansas, meeting the coaching staff, and seeing the energy around the program, we knew this was the right fit.”
Darryll echoed his brother’s sentiments, emphasizing their belief in head coach Sam Pittman and defensive coordinator Travis Williams. “Coach Pittman and Coach Williams have a vision for this defense, and we want to be a part of it,” he said. “We’re coming in to make an impact right away.”
The Desir twins bring a unique combination of speed and power off the edge. Mandrell, at 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, is a dominant force against the run and excels at setting the edge. Darryll, slightly leaner at 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, is known for his explosive pass-rushing ability. Together, they have the potential to wreak havoc on opposing offenses for years to come.
Their commitment is a major boost for the Razorbacks’ 2025 recruiting class and could be a game-changer for the program’s defensive front. With Arkansas looking to climb the ranks in the SEC, landing elite talent like the Desir brothers signals a strong step in the right direction.
Razorback fans can now look forward to watching the Desir twins dominate together in Fayetteville.
