Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball standout Luke Goode has reportedly declined substantial Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) offers, totaling $7.5 million, from the University of Georgia and the University of Notre Dame. Goode, a 6-foot-7 senior forward, emphasized his dedication to Indiana’s basketball program, stating, “My only focus is winning a championship with the Hoosiers.”
Goode transferred to Indiana in April 2024 after three seasons with the Illinois Fighting Illini. During his tenure at Illinois, he averaged 5.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, shooting 38.9% from three-point range. His performance contributed to Illinois’s run to the Elite Eight in the 2023-2024 season. Indiana head coach Mike Woodson praised Goode as “a knockdown 3-point shooter that provides length and rebounding ability from the wing position.”
Since joining the Hoosiers, Goode has made a significant impact. In a December 2024 game against Sam Houston State, he scored a career-high 18 points, shooting 5-for-7 from beyond the arc, leading Indiana to a 97-71 victory. Coach Woodson highlighted Goode’s contributions, stating, “We’ve been shooting the three ball pretty well — Goode is a big part of it.”
Goode’s decision to remain with Indiana, despite lucrative NIL offers from prominent football programs, underscores his commitment to the Hoosiers and their pursuit of a championship. His leadership and performance continue to be instrumental as Indiana aims for success in the highly competitive Big Ten Conference.
