Former FSU Football Assistant Hired as Head Coach at Historic High School Program

A former Florida State University (FSU) football assistant coach is set to take the reins of one of the nation’s most historic high school football programs. The move comes as the school looks to build on its proud legacy with a coach who brings collegiate-level experience and passion for player development.

The high school, known for producing top-tier talent and winning state championships, announced the hiring earlier this week. The new head coach spent several years on the FSU coaching staff, working under respected leadership and contributing to both recruiting efforts and player development. His time at FSU allowed him to build strong ties across the state and gain valuable experience at the highest levels of college football.

The school’s athletic director expressed excitement about the hire, calling it a “new era” for the football program. “We are thrilled to welcome a coach of this caliber,” the AD said. “His experience, leadership, and dedication to building young men on and off the field align perfectly with our tradition and vision.”

For the new head coach, the opportunity represents a return to grassroots football and a chance to have a direct impact on student-athletes during their formative years. In a statement, he emphasized his commitment to developing not only great players but also great people.

“I’m honored to lead this storied program,” he said. “The tradition here speaks for itself, and I look forward to building on that legacy with hard work, discipline, and a team-first mentality.”

The coach will begin preparations for the upcoming season immediately, with spring practices already on the horizon. With his FSU pedigree and deep understanding of the game, expectations are high that he will lead the program to continued success on and off

the field.
