The arrival of Nasreddine Nabi could see Kaizer Chiefs sign not one but two outgoing Orlando Pirates players.

Nasreddine Nabi is set to join Kaizer Chiefs in Turkey for their pre-season tour of Europe.

Meanwhile, the soon-to-be new Amakhosi coach was spotted with two new faces that he is bringing with him to join Chiefs. Nabi’s arrival will set off a chain of events at Chiefs. So, there will be wholesome changes when he arrives. Now, Nabi is linked with a couple of Orlando Pirates players.

NABI SET TO JOIN CHIEFS, TWO PIRATES PLAYERS LINKED

Former Orlando Pirates player, Bongani Sam is currently training with Chiefs in Turkey.

Interestingly, reports claim that he is set to become Chiefs first signing of the season.

“Orlando Pirates are understood to have given defender Bongani Sam the greenlight to discuss personal terms with Kaizer Chiefs. SABC Sport can reveal the two parties have reached an unprecedented agreement that would see a player move between the two Soweto giants should he pass a medical and have the finer details ironed out,” the report read on SABCSport.

Therefore, he is expected to become Chiefs first signing. Meaning, he is likely to be announced as the first signing under Nabi. Ironically, Nabi was not with Chiefs when Sam arrived. Furthermore, Nabi could replace a top Chiefs star with an outgoing Pirates star.

“According to a reliable source, Ofori is one of the players that Nabi could look to lure as he will be making changes to the squad on his arrival,” the report read on SoccerLaduma.

SEVERAL NEW FACES SPOTTED WITH AMAKHOSI

Three new faces have been spotted training with Chiefs in Turkey.

As mentioned, ex-Bucs player, Sam is one of the new faces. Meanwhile, DStv Diski Challenge prospects Siphesihle Tati and Nkosana Mbutho have been invited to train with Chiefs first team.

“Kaizer Chiefs’ talent Siphesihle Tati is currently training with the senior side as he is being assessed by the coaching team. iDiski Times received information that the midfielder is currently training with the senior side, and he is under the assessment and watchful eye of Fernando Da Cruz, who will soon be announced as the assistant coach. ‘Zizo’, as he is affectionally, known had a good season in the DDC last season, carrying the Amakhosi side alongside Neo Bohloko, and helping them to finish in the top four,” iDiskiTimes wrote.

Meanwhile, Mbutho is also in Turkey training with Chiefs, as reported on The South African.
